  • I enjoyed this glimpse into the world Katherine Grey has woven. Light-hearted, fun, and romantic, I was happily pulled into Emma and Blaine's story. A quick read, it left me wanting more (in a good way!), and thankfully I had An Unexpected Gift waiting to be opened right away! This is a story that stands well on it's own, but I'm very glad there was more to continue on with and enjoy with Lazarus's adventure. Definitely enjoyed!


  • This was a delightful little romance. I say little because it was a fast read which seemed more like a novella perhaps than a full length novel. From the first page, Grey captures her readers' interest as Emma, her sweet and naive, but not too naive heroine exclaims "Thank God you're all right!" (Or something to that effect.Both the hero and heroine are likable and the romance, though not built over time--the book is short--is sweet and believable. As you read the book, some secondary characters [...]


  • This was a sweet, warming short read. As with Impetuous, the author does a great job adding realistic qualities to her heroine, Emma. She has such a caring heart, a heart that led her to “save” the hero, Blaine. It was quite endearing to read how a love formed between these two characters. Ms. Grey has way of inserted the “awww” factor in her writing. You can’t help but feel all warm and fuzzy at the end of her stories.
