The illustrations are breathtaking, the photos, the extensive research If you are a history buff or know someone who is-you must buy this book. It would make an amazing holiday gift, too.

  • Well written and truly captivating account of the Civil War from the first page to the last. I chose the book because I wanted to hear from the military members who actually led and fought the battles that nearly destroyed our Union. West Point administration, students and graduates led and fought on both sides of the War, and the Academy was nearly destroyed itself as result. Bracingly honest and truly insightful book. I highly recommend it to anyone and everyone with an interest in peace.
