  • A dark addition to NA/Contemporary fiction, EDEN FELL is a tale centered on the protagonist's detachment from reality and deteriorating life.Fair warning - Eden, the central character, challenges the reader's usual expectation of a likeable protagonist. Truthfully, Eden is alienating, self-centered, ungrateful and gratingly pathetic in her ability to take care of herself. That said, she is afflicted by mental illness and grappling with substance abuse so that accounts for much of her antagonizin [...]

  • So while the words are still fresh, I'll write this review. There is something that always intrigues me about how fantasy and real-life blend in to form one coherent story without taking too much of a turn into one or the other. Not many people can do it, especially not long as this book is. But never does it turn into too much of one or too much of another. The prose, it's addictive, it's unique and with a twist of real-life-been-there-oh-fuck-I-know-this-feel emotion in it. The characters are [...]

  • 5 stars for Lily's stunning use of words. This was unlike anything I've ever read. Dark and poetic, with a fantasy aspect you will soon find is not what it seems. It was not an easy read. Eden is not a very likeable character. Her struggles with drug addiction and the fact that she is very selfish do not help her cause. Watching her fall and succumb to her demons is heartbreaking. This book will incite many emotions in its reader. A very haunting and enthralling experience.

  • A dark, edgy tale that transcends precincts by daring to expose hidden depths of controversy Eden Fell is hauntingly magnetic poetic philosophy that seeps into your soul, and the detailed narrative getting ‘under your skin’. An intriguing take on New Adult/ contemporary genre this novella will not be to everyone’s taste, as it is supremely singular. The main protagonist’s detachment from reality and deteriorating life is challenging, as her affliction with mental illness and substance ab [...]

  • Artists aren't like the rest of us. They don't live by a set schedule. They don't adhere to anything that would be called normal of mainstream. They seek inspiration in the spaces outside the realms of reality. Sometimes they hit their mark, but many other times they fall into the extremes of that lifestyle and find themselves mired in their own highly self-destructive behaviors that too many times result in their early demise.Eden Fell walks into the drug laced corridors of an artists mind. It [...]

  • Different, very, very different. Not an easy book to read, at times I put it away, but I kept coming back for more. It's a look into the dark, twisted mind of Eden, an abstract painter. We follow the thoughts and hallucinations of a drug addict traveling down a painful path. At times I was lost with all the random thoughts, but the prose is excellent and compelling.I found that the pages numbers kept interrupting the paragraphs at random points. Perhaps its just a formatting problem.

  • From Debbie Wiley, Book Illuminationsbookilluminations/rev_edenFame can be both fleeting and contrary. Eden is an artist haunted by visions of a rhinoceros and a snake. She is at the pinnacle of her career and yet something is missing in her life, something that sends her into a drug-filled world as she struggles just to make it one day at a time. Her fall from grace is a lonely one. Step inside the pages and watch what happened when EDEN FELL.Lily’s use of language is exquisite! She utilizes [...]

  • Eden, an abstract painter, journeys through reality and unreality as her life falls apart. Accompanied by a snake and a rhinocerous, she encounters a strange and surreal set of characters and situations, all while struggling to hold her life together and find what she is desperately missing. Through a stream of consciousness narrative we're drawn into Eden's struggles and to her ultimate fate.Eden Fell is one of those books that, while I liked it a lot, I find difficult to explain, or sometimes [...]
